I’m Emmi Manninen, an architect whose work moves between architectural design, interior spaces, and occasionally conceptual landscaping. I also create visualizations, a process I value for the way it allows me to explore atmosphere, light, and materiality in detail. I studied architecture in Madrid and now practice in southern Spain, where my work is shaped by the many places, experiences, and influences that have left their mark on me. At its core, my approach is about creating spaces that are both functional and deeply lived in, environments that feel grounded, resonant, and enduring.
For me, architecture has never been just about building. It’s about creating spaces where people truly live, not just physically, but emotionally, spiritually, and deeply. It’s about shaping environments that hold the quiet moments, the daily rituals, and the ways we connect with ourselves and with others. Every project is a chance to design more than just walls and surfaces, it’s about crafting a way of dwelling, a way of being. I believe that space has the power to ground us, to reflect who we are, and to shape how we move through life. My work exists in that subtle intersection, where the human experience meets the built world, where design holds emotion, and space becomes a backdrop for meaningful living. That’s what I aim to create: places that are not just seen, but felt, not just used, but inhabited.
